Address Changes: It is important we have your most up-to-date mailing information on file. When you provide us with mailing changes we:

  • update our Local 602 records
  • notify the International UAW of changes
  • notify the Lansing Labor News of address changes

Bible Requests: UAW Local 602 offers a Bible to our members who have recently suffered the loss of a child, spouse, parent or step-parent (one Bible per family). We have both Protestant and Catholic Bibles available. To make arrangements to receive a Bible, please contact Kathy Bryan at 517-372-4626 ext. 10.

Hall Rentals: Only Members of UAW Local 602 may rent the Union Hall on weekends not booked for union business.

The Hall contains:
Auditorium with a stage.
Club room with a bar.
Kitchen.
24 eight-foot tables.
Approximately 230 chairs.

Occupancy: maximum 280 people per Fire Marshall.

Reservations: Contact Bookkeeper for reservations (Kathy Bryan at 517-372-4626 ext. 10).
1.$150.00 deposit due at time of reservation.
2.Signed contract and deposit reserves date.
3.$275 balance due two weeks prior to rental.
4.$150.00 deposit is refunded in full if no damage occurs, or in part if damage is less than $150.00, within seven (7) days of rental.

Rental occupancy hours:
5:00 p.m. Friday through 10:00 a.m. Sunday.
Saturday events/rentals must end no later than 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.
All materials & decorations to be removed by 10:00 a.m. on Sunday following rental.
Materials & decorations not removed are disposed of by Maintenance.
Pick up hall key on Friday before rental between 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., unless other arrangements are made in advance.
Monday following rental, return hall key and arrange for deposit refund.
Consumption of alcoholic beverages confined to the Club Room and/or Auditorium only.
No consumption of alcohol outside building.
No alcohol to be sold.
No alcohol to be served to minors.
No smoking inside building.
No pornography in/on the premises.
No unlicensed gambling for profit on premises.
No profane, obscene, abusive or other improper language or behavior in/on premises.
Renters must observe noise, fire or other local ordinances.
Facilities for non-profit purposes only.
Security measures for rentals are the responsibility of the renter.
Renters empty trash.
Clean up after rental is the responsibility of Maintenance.
When renting the hall, Local 602 Executive Board Members have the option to clean the hall for refund of the cleaning fee.
Rental agreements may be cancelled at any time for union business.
Renter holds UAW Local 602 harmless from any/all claims arising from bodily injury or property damage in connection with renter's use of the property.

Hall Use for Union Business: Those wishing to use the Hall for Union Businesss must call ahead (517-372-4626 ext. 10) to make arrangements and reserve space.

Table & Chair Loans: UAW Local 602 members may borrow tables and chairs for their personal use. Members must call the Hall to check availability and make reservations (571-372-4626 ext 10).

We currently have 10 retangular tables and 44 chairs to loan.

Tables and chairs are to be picked up on Fridays before 3:30 p.m. (but not between 12:00-12:30) unless other arrangements are made in advance. They are to be returned on Monday before 3:30 p.m. (but not between 12-12:30 p.m.).

There is no charge to borrow tables and chairs, however, a $50 deposit must be paid at the time of pick up. If the tables and chairs are returned undamaged, your deposit will be refunded.

25 Year Rings: Members who have worked 25 years credited service, 25 years as members of the UAW and at least 1 year membership of UAW Local 602 and have not yet retired are eligible to receive a ring from UAW Local 602.

Members interested in receiving rings should stop by the Union Hall to view the available styles and sizes.

Rings can be purchased outright by members.

Members may pick rings up at the Union Hall 8-10 weeks after they are ordered.
